Plan Purchase Terms

1. License Grant

Purchase of this plan grants the buyer a limited, non-transferable license to construct one single residence from the purchased plan.

This license is for one-time use only unless otherwise agreed in writing by Stockman Design.

2. Ownership + Copyright

All plans, drawings, renderings, guides, finish packages, and related materials remain the intellectual property of Stockman Design.

Purchase of a plan does not transfer copyright or ownership of the design.

The buyer may not copy, reproduce, distribute, resell, share, publish, or reuse the plan or related materials for any purpose other than the single permitted build.

3. No Resale or Redistribution

Purchased files may not be shared, resold, transferred, uploaded, or distributed in any format, whether digitally or in print.

This includes sharing with other builders, developers, designers, plan websites, or third parties for reuse on another project.

4. Site-Specific Review Required

All plans must be reviewed and adapted as needed by qualified local professionals before construction begins.

The buyer is responsible for confirming that the plan is suitable for their specific lot, site conditions, zoning requirements, building code requirements, and all local regulations.

5. Engineering + Consultant Responsibility

These plans include basic structural intent and key construction notes, but final structural engineering must be completed locally based on site conditions, snow loads, wind exposure, seismic requirements, soil conditions, and applicable codes.

Site plans, civil engineering, grading, drainage, septic design, utility coordination, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) design are not included unless specifically stated otherwise.

The buyer is responsible for hiring the appropriate local professionals as required.

6. Builder + Permit Responsibility

It is the buyer’s responsibility to work with a qualified local builder, engineer, and permitting authority to prepare the project for construction.

Stockman Design does not guarantee permit approval, code compliance in every jurisdiction, contractor pricing, construction timeline, or final build outcome.

7. Modifications

Modification requests may be submitted for review, but acceptance is not guaranteed.

Any modifications performed by Stockman Design will be quoted separately and handled under a separate written agreement.

Modifications made by others are the responsibility of the buyer and their local professionals.

8. Digital Product / No Refunds

Because these products are delivered digitally and become accessible immediately after purchase, all sales are final.

No refunds, returns, or exchanges will be issued.

9. No Warranty

Plans and related materials are provided as-is for the licensed use described above.

Stockman Design makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding fitness for a particular site, code approval, engineering sufficiency without local review, or construction performance.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stockman Design shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of the purchase, use, modification, interpretation, adaptation, or construction of the plans.

The buyer assumes full responsibility for all site-specific review, engineering, permitting, construction decisions, and final execution.

11. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a plan from Stockman Design Plan Library, the buyer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
